“We’ve been a member of the Wee Wisdom family since January 2001 when our oldest child was 3 years old. Since that time, we’ve sent two other children through the nursery school and child care programs.
The teachers in both the preschool & and child care programs are terrific! There is a good consistency in the staff that comforts the children and supports their development. The teachers develop creative activities incorporating music, art, science, and literature throughout the week. Our children have developed close relationships with all of their teachers over the years at Wee Wisdom. The teachers all have a special place in the hearts of all our family.
The programs are fantastic. “Our daughter began attending Wee Wisdom in May 2003, just before our son was born. At first she went just two days a week, and I was a little worried about how she would adjust, with a new baby brother and being away from me for the first time, as she had always been cared for at my office. From the first day, she was delighted. In August, we began considering whether we should continue to send her just two days a week or increase to full time, and I was really struggling with the decision. She made it easy when she started asking to go to "school" on days that she wasn't scheduled to go! I asked if she wanted to go to school every day, and she was thrilled. Since the end of August 2003, she has been at Wee Wisdom every day, and her little brother joined her there in December 2005. We have had nothing but positive experiences with Wee Wisdom, and it is wonderful knowing that our children are in a place that is loving, safe, and educational. They both have learned a tremendous amount, both in their nursery school classes and in child care, which includes both free play and structured, educational activities.
The Wee Wisdom staff genuinely loves the children who are there, and my husband has often said that he thinks many of them are saints. They are very gentle, but firm, in how they enforce the rules and administer discipline when necessary. One thing that I have always appreciated is that they don't have a lot of rules and they allow the children to make mistakes, teaching them how to interact with each other by paying attention to others' feelings and learning about the impact that their choices have. However, the rules that exist are absolute (and usually related to safety), and violations are dealt with immediately and strictly.
I am so grateful to have Wee Wisdom available. I had always heard that it was the best child care in the county, and it certainly has lived up to its reputation. Both of my children can swim, thanks to the summer swim lessons (it's not especially pretty yet, but they won't drown, which is really all that matters!). My kids have performed on the stage at Emens Auditorium, and neither of them will ever fear performing in public. They have had a marvelous time at the summer cheerleading and basketball camps, and the Big Wheel Races are a family tradition, with grandparents, a great-uncle, and cousins attending every year. We are huge fans and highly recommend Wee Wisdom. All of the extra activities are great, but the most important thing is knowing that our children are happy and never having a moment's worry about the kind of care they receive.”

“I first called Wee Wisdom to get child care for my infant; unfortunately they could not help me. I believe that is the only complaint I have about Wee Wisdom!! As soon as my first child was old enough, I placed him at Wee Wisdom. I had looked at other child care facilities; however, I really wanted both child care and a separate Nursery School experience. Wee Wisdom was the only place in Muncie I could find what I was looking for. It also worked great when I stopped working and did not need the child care any longer, I could still take my children to Nursery School for class.
All three of my children went to both Child Care & Nursery School at Wee Wisdom. I cannot express how comfortable I was with my children there. The staff did not complain when I called to check on my child 5 or so times a day the first month. They were always very cheerful and made me think that was normal!! My kids had the opportunity to work with many different child care providers and personalities, which I feel was very good for them. Everyone in the facility was familiar with my children, which again, made me very comfortable.
The Nursery School itself is outstanding. Due to some circumstances, unrelated to Wee Wisdom, I did take one of my children out of Wee Wisdom and enrolled him in another preschool in town- we were back at Wee Wisdom within two weeks! The quality and caring teachers cannot be beat! The structure in the Nursery School is something every child needs. I have yet to mention the programs - both Christmas and Graduation. My children learned so much stage presence, poise, and comfort in front of an audience, that today they do not think twice about performing anywhere. My children also looked forward (and still do) to the slumber parties, basketball camps, bible studies, and various other activities that Wee Wisdom offers. Mrs. Allen does not even stop when they leave her facility. She has counseled me numerous times on a variety of topics from where to send my children to school to behavior issues. She continues to check in with my children frequently and even serves as their "grandmother" when needed for Grandparent's Day. Today my kids are at the top of their class, thanks in a big part, to the academic readiness they received at Wee Wisdom. I cannot thank Denise and her facility enough for all they have done for my family!”

Wee Wisdom was highly recommended to us when we were looking for a day care. At the time, Shelby, the youngest had a terrible fall that spring, so we were very concerned about leaving her in an atmosphere that would not be able to monitor her activities and she become injured again. You were very attentive to our concerns and the staff was excellent in watching Shelby during this time. It was so nice to see that the children were divided into smaller groups based on their ages. We were worried that she would be mixed with older and rougher kids, but that was not the case.
Brynn and Shelby had a lot of turmoil in their little lives. Their mom and dad were not around. But you and your staff were so great; they were so excited about going to Wee Wisdom every morning, which gave them the stability they needed at such a young age. They loved going to nursery school and your staff was wonderful. Both kids entered Kindergarten at Pleasant View ahead of everyone else, which made it an easy transition for them, and the service you provide by picking them up after class was such a help. I really don't know how we would have managed without that service.
Wee Wisdom is so much more than a day care and nursery school. You get the kids involved in the annual Christmas Play, and other holiday programs. You have the big wheel race, and summer camps such as: basketball, volleyball, and cheerleading. You offer swim lessons and free swim time during the summer. And I can't forget the slumber parties that allowed us a night away from the kids.
Mrs. Allen, you truly provide a strong foundation for young kids to build and grow upon. You provide a safe and happy environment that gives them an opportunity to learn and create. You teach social skills they will use for the rest of their lives and we thank you.
